Luck O’ the Lake FAQs

When does registration close?

Secure your spot by registering online by March 13.  Limited walk-up registrations will be available on March 14 & 15 during packet pick-up.  Registration option "with shirt" closes end of day March 6.  All online registrations close at midnight on March 13.

When is Luck O' the Lake this year?
Luck O' the Lake is March 15, 2025.

Where is Luck O' the Lake?
Luck O' the Lake is held in Downtown Excelsior on Water Street with the start on 2nd St (in front of Artum House) and end at aloom Consignment. Please see our race maps on the main page for the route!

Where can I park?
Parking is available in the Excelsior West Lot (behind Ooh La La), Excelsior Elementary School, and Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. There is street parking available, but please come prepared as parking is tight in the city. No shuttle is provided. 

Can I have more race information?
There is a 1-mile race beginning at 9 AM and 5k race beginning at 9:30 AM. You can find the race routes on our home page. Strollers are allowed, but please stay at the back of the pack. This is a chipped and timed race. Results will be available on the website following the event.

Are dogs allowed?
We encourage you to leave your furry friends at home. Dogs and strollers will not be allowed in Excelsior Brewing Co.

Are strollers allowed?
Yes, we can't wait to have you! Please leave your strollers outside the brewery for packet pick-up and beer ticket redemption

Can I walk the 5k?
Absolutely!

What if I register AFTER March 6?
Participants who register after March 6 will not have the option to register online "with shirt".  Limited shirts will be for sale at the event.

How many people participate?
We have, on average, approximately 900+ joining us and 300+ spectators for the day!

What happens after the race?
The Luck O' the Lake After Race Party will be held until noon with a magician and Irish dancers. Excelsior Brewing Co. will be hosting bands all day for a St. Patty's extravaganza!

Do I need my ID?
IDs are REQUIRED, no matter your age, for any person consuming alcohol. If you are participating in the race, please bring your ID after the race to redeem your drink ticket.

What would I have to pay for?
Any additional beer purchased at the brewery or merch items.

What happens in case of emergency or lost/found?
Lost and Found will be held at Excelsior Brewing CO.

Where are bathrooms located? 

Portapotties are located near the start line and on the backside of Excelsior Brewery.
